EODY announced that the new laboratory-confirmed cases of coronavirus recorded in the last 24 hours are 18,605, of which 42 were detected after checks at the country's entry gates. The total number of cases is 2,274,025 (daily change +0.8%), of which 49.7% are men.
Based on the confirmed cases in the last 7 days, 339 are considered to be associated with travel from abroad and 2,213 are associated with an already known case.
New deaths of COVID-19 patients are 80, with a total of 25,183 deaths recorded since the start of the outbreak. 95.0% had underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.
The number of patients hospitalized intubated is 470 (62.3% male). Their median age is 67 years. 86.2% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older. Among intubated patients, 349 (74.26%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 121 (25.74%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,193 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
New Covid-19 patient admissions to hospitals in the country are 372 (daily change -0.8%). The average seven-day admission is 374 patients.The median age of cases is 35 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of deaths is 79 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
