Police have not yet been able to contact an activist about Cyprus' involvement in a ring, says Chr. Testimonies and information from Greece requested

Police have not yet been able to contact the activist to give the testimony that he expressed his intention to give about a ring operating in Greece and Cyprus related to the rape case of a 24-year-old girl in Thessaloniki.

In his statements to the Cyprus News Agency and asked if there is any news regarding the allegations of a ring operating in Greece and Cyprus related to the rape case of a 24-year-old girl in Thessaloniki, Police spokesman Christos Andreou said that the police still do not have any official complaint or evidence implicating Cyprus in such a ring.

As reported in a previous Cyprus Times report, "a message has already been sent to the Greek authorities to forward to us as soon as possible any information and/or testimonies that implicate Cyprus or whether Cypriot nationals are involved in this case in order to be investigated by the Cypriot authorities if they have any data," he added.

He said that since this morning the police have been trying to contact the person "who yesterday expressed his intention to give a statement, but this has not been possible as we speak, so that he can give us the testimony that he expressed his intention to give us".
