In fact, in a recent interview, Georgia Bika herself, when asked whether the material taken by the authorities for the toxicology tests was taken three days after her complaint, she replied that it was taken on the very same evening of the day she made the complaint.

The forensic officer in charge of the department recommended that the police officers immediately take a urine sample, which is the only appropriate biological sample for toxicological analysis, in such incidents. The sample, she was informed, was taken that evening. Regarding the toxicological analysis, our service followed the instructions of the professor of forensic & toxicology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Mr. Raikos, responsible for these analyses, for the whole of Northern Greece. instructions given in accordance with international protocols".
"The next day, Sunday, in the afternoon, the examinee came to our service in order to be examined and to take the appropriate biological samples for examination of genetic material, which were delivered to the competent pre-trial authority in order to be transferred to the forensic laboratories."
"Mr. Raikos himself received the biological sample for toxicological analysis from the security department of the White Tower, together with the written order for its examination and transferred it to his laboratory in the apth for analysis. We note that on 19/01/22 Mr. Raikos also sent a relevant sample to a competent laboratory in Switzerland for parallel testing. The results of the tests were delivered today, 01/02/22, in a sealed envelope to the investigating authority."
The technical advisor of the 24-year-old woman
The technical advisor of 24-year-old Georgia Bika will request a re-examination of the samples, who disputes the results of the toxicological tests as he believes that the samples were taken late. He will draw up his own report and it is possible that he will re-examine the retained counter-sample. The results showed a low level of alcohol and no substance and according to forensic and technical consultant Dimitris Galenteris, appointed by the 24-year-old, the urine was taken 18 hours late.
"I dispute that she had a low level of alcohol in her urine and this is a useful piece of evidence. I can't judge the amount of blood alcohol from the urine results .The urine was taken eighteen hours late, so the substances we are looking for , the ones that leave the blood quickly were lost. Possibly we will ask for an analysis of the antisample in another laboratory," says Dimitris Galenteris.
