24-year-old Georgia Bika made her first post on Instagram after the rape case in Thessaloniki on New Year's Eve.
Georgia thanks those who have supported her during these difficult times and notes that "the second rape, the one of questioning, is just as painful" and what she asks for is vindication of the soul and peace for herself and for every woman who is afraid.
It is noted that today there were new developments in the case, regarding the toxicology tests in which a significant amount of alcohol appears to have been found in the 24-year-old's system.
Her message is detailed: "After a barrage of love and "hugs" from all of you, I have to say from the bottom of my heart thank you to everyone who has supported me during these difficult days. I am not only Georgia of Lagada. I am Georgia the woman who is claiming her right and dignity. The second rape, that of questioning, is just as painful. But I will face it like the first one with one difference: With my senses and my eyes open. With your love and support, because you are all my extended family. True love and respect is what I want to achieve, justification of soul and peace of mind. For me and for every woman who is afraid... Thank you for embracing me."
