Full steam ahead for the 12th Congress of the Movement of Ecologists - Citizens' Co-operation
The Movement of Ecologists - Citizens' Co-operation is in the final straight and is heading towards the 12th regular Pancyprian Congress on Sunday 06 February at 10:30 am.The congress will be held hybridly, with the participation of delegates both in person and online. And the voting for the election of the four Movement officers and the 16 remaining members of the Central Committee will be held only in person, in an outdoor venue, so as not to exclude any Movement member from the process due to the restrictive measures for pandemic management.
The congress will elect by direct vote the President, Deputy President, two Vice-Presidents and 16 members of the Central Committee, the highest decision-making body of the Movement.
The ballot paper for the 4 officials of the Movement in the internal elections of the Movement was formed as follows:
- Charalambos Theopeptou is re-contesting the position of President and Kyriakos Tsimillis and Sotiris Christou are also contesting.
- The position of Deputy President is re-contested by Efi Xanthou and contested by Alkis Papis, current spokesman of the Movement and Sotiris Christou.
- For the position of Vice-President A of the Movement the candidates are: Maria Kola, Antonis Kouparis, Panagiotis Manolis, Lucas Stylianou, Sotiris Christou, Marios Chrysostomou.
At the next meeting of the Central Committee, which will take place on 13 February under its new composition, the remaining members of the Political Committee and the Executive Secretariat (Executive, Deputy Executive, International Relations Officer, Financial Officer, members Mr.etc.).
