The Ministry of Health announces that today, February 26, 2022:
4 deaths were announced
They concern:
o Male, aged 83 years, who died on 25 February
o Male, aged 84 years, who died on 26 February
o Female, aged 73years, who died on 26 February
o Female, aged 90 years, who died on 26 February
Total number of deaths with a terminal cause of COVID-19: 852.
152 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized in the hospitals of the OCYP
32 in serious condition (ICU: 1 off ventilator/12 intubated, NICU: 19)
Percentage of inpatients with no history of vaccination: 60.93%
24 patients who ceased to be infectious continue to be intubated due to COVID in ICU.
Diagnostic tests:
A total of 98,933 diagnostic tests were performed
1.606 new cases (total 318,773 cases)
Positivity rate in all tests 1.62%
Total number of molecular tests (PCR):
6.263 molecular tests
231 positive cases
Positivity rate 3.69%
Total number of rapid antigen detection tests (Rapid Test):
92 performed.670 rapid antigen detection tests
Resulted in 1,375 positive cases
Positivity rate 1.48%
Tracing:
45 molecular tests performed and 3 positive cases detected (positivity rate 6.67%)
1.045 rapid antigen detection tests and 59 positive cases detected (5.65% positivity rate)
Private initiative:
1,729 molecular tests performed, 165 positive cases detected (9.54% positivity rate)
54 positive cases performed.559 rapid antigen detection tests, 859 positive cases detected (positivity rate 1.57%)
38,111 rapid antigen detection tests were carried out through the Ministry of Health programmes. 516 positive cases were detected.
Sampling sites: 36.809 rapid detection tests, 457 positive cases detected (positivity rate 1.24%)

Welfare homes: 257 rapid antigen detection tests performed, no positive cases detected (positivity rate 0%)
