The Fire Brigade was mobilized last night in the Limassol district.

Specifically, at 21.26 a call was received for a fire in an upper floor of a house in the village of Kato Amiodos, in Limassol.

Moniatis Fire Station responded with one fire engine and was reinforced by British Troodos Bases with one fire engine.

According to the Fire Department, at the time of the outbreak of the fire, the two tenants were in the house, who managed to exit the house in time, as well as the occupant of the ground floor house, without any health problems.

The tenants were accommodated by the village community leader in another place for the night.

From the fire and heat, the upstairs house, as well as its contents, were extensively damaged.

To extinguish the fire, water wraps and breathing apparatus had to be used.

The fire was brought under control at 23:40 and appears to have originated from the chimney.
