It was around 3:45 am on Christmas morning when the police received a tip-off about a fight in a nightclub in Nicosia.
Police officers rushed to the scene, who found a 35-year-old foreigner with facial injuries and claimed that he had been hit by other persons. The injured man was subsequently taken by ambulance to the Nicosia General Hospital,[/B] where it was found that he suffered a fractured rib and was detained for treatment.
Meanwhile, asecond injured foreigner, aged 36, who appeared to be partying in the same group as the 35-year-old, was found and after a misunderstanding between them they got into a fight.
The 36-year-old sustained minor injuries but did not want to be taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries.
