A fire in a fireplace chimney of a ground floor house occurred last night in Dromolaxia at 22:25.
According to the Fire Service, the fire started from a defective fireplace chimney and then extended to the wooden roof of the house.
To extinguish the fire, a partial deconstruction of the roof was performed. The fire damaged the wooden roof of the house and no civilians were in danger.
The fire was extinguished by the members of the Fire Service with the use of a flute winder and breathing apparatus.
The fire was brought under control at 22:57.
According to the Fire Service, 2 staffed fire trucks from the Larnaca Fire Station responded to extinguish the fire.
