The position that the final text of the laws for the reform of local government does not serve the general interest of the country is expressed by Pafos Mayor Faidonas Faidonos, who speaks of "political crimes".
As he says in a written statement, "we will be accompanied for decades by the political crimes that five specific political figures masterminded on the issue of the reform of local government".
When you reform, you think of one thing and one thing only, he stresses, "to serve the public interest of your people and your country". Faidonos, "certainly does not serve the general interest of our country." He says this without a trace of personal interest "but because I personally heard and perceived how certain political persons acted."
