Sweeping searches are in full swing in Larnaca district since the afternoon.
Information from the Cyprus Times reports that members of the Larnaca CID and YKAN carried out searches in homes and other premises of 7 to 8 persons, as part of operations to crack down on organised crime.
At the centre of the searches were the residences of persons whose names had been employed for drug or other cases.
