Authorities were put on alert after a prisoner escaped from a police station in Nicosia.
According to initial reports, the 30-year-old prisoner managed to escape from Omorphita Police Station after breaking the window of the building.
Information from the Cyprus Times states that the 30-year-old Greek Cypriot was in custody on a case of malicious damage, disorderly conduct and other offences.
Authorities have launched a manhunt for him.
