[Cyprus Times] Expansion of sponsorship schemes for Cypriot businesses to participate in exhibitions

The expansion of three Department of Energy projects, Commerce and Industry for assisting businesses to participate in exhibitions in Cyprus and abroad was decided by the Council of Ministers, Deputy Government Spokesperson Nivi Parisinou announced.

The plans, she said, were extended until 30 June 2024.

Moreover, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Commerce, the plans involve providing incentives to Cypriot businesses to participate privately in exhibitions held in Cyprus and abroad, with a real presence or online, aimed at promoting their products and services.

The Sponsorship Schemes contribute to the achievement of the strategic objective of the New Trade Policy 2021-2030 of the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry (MoETI) to enhance the extroversion of enterprises and increase their exports.

The three projects, which will be announced by the Trade Department of the Ministry of Trade and Industry early next week, concern.

The participation of Cypriot enterprises operating in the sectors of manufacturing or trading of agricultural products in a private exhibition in Cyprus or abroad.

It is noted that enterprises may also participate in online and virtual trade fairs organised abroad.
