All resources of the Russian central bank in the European jurisdiction will be frozen
The European Union's sanctions against Russia's central bank came into force after being published in the EU's Official Journal in the early hours of today.
They include a ban on all European transactions with the Russian Federation's central financial institution, according to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
All funds of the Russian central bank in the European jurisdiction will be frozen to prevent the financing of the war in Ukraine ordered by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
