[CYPRUS TIMES] EU and NATO "lock down" Russia sanctions package

The EU and NATO have a package of tough sanctions ready if Russia engages in further aggression, the Dutch prime minister said specifically

The European Union has sent a clear message to Russia in case it attacks Ukraine, as it signals that it has a package of sanctions ready against Moscow in case of an invasion.

This was made known in a Twitter post by Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte after the European Council meeting where the Ukrainian crisis was discussed.

"Before the #EUAU summit, the European Council met to discuss the situation in Ukraine. The solution lies in de-escalation and diplomacy. The EU and NATO have a package of tough sanctions ready if Russia proceeds with further aggression," the Dutch prime minister wrote in particular.
