Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan will visit the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on 14 February, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu announced.

In a joint interview with his counterpart in Bahrain, the Turkish Foreign Minister said on his country's new relations with Middle Eastern countries that "our contacts with Egypt are continuing. Although we started with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) later, we have come a long way. There have been reciprocal visits. Mr. Zayed's visit to Ankara was positive."

Mevlut Cavusoglu also said that Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan will also visit Abu Dhabi on February 14. The Turkish Foreign Minister added that the dialogue process with Saudi Arabia is continuing.

It may be recalled that on November 24, the Crown Prince of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited Turkey and had a meeting with the Turkish President. The Turkish President had said he would reciprocate the visit.
