[CYPRUS TIMES] EPP disagrees with plans for a roundabout at Cafe Paris in Limassol

EDEK disagrees with the plans for the construction of a roundabout at the junction of Agia Filaxeos and Makarios Avenue and calls on the Limassol Municipality to reconsider through a statement

The Limassol District Committee EDEK, expresses its disagreement with the plans of the Department of Public Works and the Limassol Municipality to create a roundabout between Agia Fylaxis Street and Archbishop Makarios III Avenue (Café Pari area) in Limassol.

"There is no logical explanation to justify the decision of the Limassol municipality to proceed with this decision, which in order to be implemented, a large area of public green space (2,800sq.m. to be removed) must be granted. The Limassol municipality is required to implement a large area of the Limassol Gymnasium, High School and playground", as stated in a relevant statement.

There are other road projects that can be done to improve traffic and the quality of Limassol's roads, it is noted.

The EDEK calls on the Limassol Municipality to reconsider the issue.
