The Union of Cypriot Pensioners notes in a statement today that the "unacceptably long and unjustified delay in the processing of applications by the Social Insurance Fund continues, resulting in pension beneficiaries waiting six seven or more months to be paid".
ESY recalls that it raised this serious problem again with the Minister of Labour last September, demandingthat a solution to this problem be found at last and that applications be examined immediately.
"Unfortunately, however, to date this has not been done and the data presented by the Social Insurance Department" as regards the time taken for the various applications to be examined, says EKYSY.
