Distance learning for 4 weeks at the University of Cyprus, except for laboratory courses

The University of Cyprus will reopen with distance learning from January 17, for the Spring Semester.
According to reliable information from the Cyprus Times, the Senate of the University held an extraordinary meeting this morning and after considering the Council of Ministers' recommendation on "distance education and online examinations in higher education", decided that courses from January 17 and for a period of four weeks will be conducted remotely via tele-education.
However, laboratory courses will normally be conducted face-to-face at the University.
Also, in week 3, the Senate will reassess the situation and if the epidemiological picture of our country shows improvement, it is possible that a decision will be taken for the University of Cyprus to continue operating as it did last semester.
Next week the decision of the CUT
As far as the Cyprus University of Technology is concerned, the senate will meet on January 12 to decide on the way the courses will be conducted.
