The details of the gruesome act of a resident of a village in Naxos, who in order to "avenge" his fellow villager, unleashed torture on his innocent donkey, are chilling.

The perpetrator had tied the ears of the innocent quadruped with his tongue and the lower jaw with wire, injuring and torturing the animal. Also in the same way he had also tied the donkey's legs

The case is in the hands of the police who have formed a case file and there is a veterinary report describing the torture of the unfortunate animal by the perpetrator who took out on this innocent quadruped all his brutality.

The incident has shocked the small village community and those in the know, who are calling for the perpetrator to be severely punished.

"It is a wonder how a 'man' took such hatred out on a harmless animal who had done nothing wrong. The punishment of the perpetrator should be exemplary," a resident familiar with the incident told naxostimes.
