Demi Georgiou spoke about the new love that came into her life.

The chef who was made famous by her participation in MasterChef has spoken openly about her sexual preferences and revealed that after her split from Alkistis, she feels in love again.

"I'm very much in love and I'm fine. I've moved on, nobody stagnates," she said.

She went on to add that she would enter into a civil partnership if she felt confident about the person she has on her side.

"I would do it again, if a relationship I have in the future works for me, why not? Also, how do you know I don't already have a civil partnership?" she said.

As for the abusive relationship, which she has spoken about publicly and managed to get out of her life, Demi Georgiou said: "Leaving was not a matter of strength. When you hit rock bottom and fear for your life, it's a survival instinct."

In an earlier interview, she had stated about the abusive relationship she went through: "It was abusive for years, from the beginning of our relationship, but the big bad happened once. It was the moment I felt like I was going to live or die. If I hadn't made it to the hospital, I don't know how I would have come out of it all. People who haven't experienced abuse say but well, she's stupid and sitting there, but they don't understand what's going on. Where the other person is abusive, then all of a sudden they're looking out for you, supporting you, I don't know what's going on. Something happens and you can't get out of it. I came very close to dying, I even lost my sight for two months. It was too much for me. I got hit in the head and it affected my vision. I told those close to me, they didn't go to the police though, the neighbours finally called the police and bless them."
