While the Patras thriller continues to grip public opinion, a month and a half after the death of 9-year-old Georgina, the authorities are carefully studying the evidence for the three deaths that so far have not been scientifically explained.
The two forensic reports on Malena, who died first in 2019, and Iris, who followed in 2021, are under the microscope, as a common element, the lacerations, unites the complex puzzle.
The bloody cloth
Specifically, in the forensic report for six-month-old Iris, signed by forensic expert Angeliki Tsiola and revealed by iefimerida on March 2, there is a finding that is given special value in light of the new evidence that is constantly coming to light.
Apart from the eczema around the infant's mouth that is noted in the report as dermatitis, and specifically states that "around the lips there are findings indicative of contact dermatitis / eczematoid reaction (the lips show evidence of drying)", there is also a finding that causes concern.
"Also, a slight dissolution of the continuity of the oral mucosa was found without any other characteristics", writes Ms. Ciola in her forensic report. Experienced forensic experts explain to iefimerida that this means a small tear on the inside of the lip. The same sources, who are closely following the case, believe that "it must be investigated whether this finding is related to the bloody cloth found in the baby's crib after his death". Specifically mentioned are "two micro-eruptions in the nasal cavity":
To all this is added the report of the honorary brigadier general of the National Police. Thanasis Katerinopoulos to the Star that the funeral home was asked to cover marks on the face of one of the children before the funeral. A witness who spoke to ANT1 said that this child was Georgina and those present at the funeral were very impressed by the fact that she was wearing make-up.
Still, authorities are awaiting the results of toxicology and histology tests on Georgina, which are likely to lead to safe conclusions.
