Sadness over the tragic end of a cyclist in Nicosia.
In fatal road accident that occurred last Wednesday 23/02/2022 at 6:15am on Makarios Street in Clerou, Ramandeep Singh, aged 31 years old from India, died.
The accident occurred when the 31-year-old, while cycling, at some point on the road, under circumstances under investigation, entered an open dirt area and subsequently fell into a riverbed, about six metres deep.
He was then transferred by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital, where the doctor on duty pronounced his death.
The necropsy on the body was performed last Friday 25/02/2022 by a Medical Examiner, who found that his death was caused by a severe craniocerebral injury due to a road traffic accident.
Nicosia Traffic Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
He is the 8th asphalt victim, in the space of two months since the beginning of the year.
