Cyprus welcomed more than 2.5 thousand Ukrainians, the government is ready to assist, N. Nouris What he said about the Russian invasion

Cyprus has welcomed over 2,500 Ukrainians after the Russian invasion, to whom it is providing as many facilities as it can, Interior Minister Nikos Nouris said today, reiterating the government's willingness, in addition to adopting EU decisions, to assist in any way it can for the suffering Ukrainian people.

In his remarks after the annual national memorial service of the hero Dimitrakis Papamiliades, at Agia Marina Xyliatou, the Interior Minister said that "the Government and the Cypriot people stand by the Ukrainian people in whatever effort we can give, especially in the humanitarian field," noting that "Cyprus knows about refugees and knows about the needs created by war".

He again condemned the Russian invasion, stating that Cyprus stands by the Ukrainian people.
