The Republic of Cyprus and FRONTEX have reached an agreement on an operational action plan on migration, including the development of management and return systems, which is expected to be signed in the coming days.

This was reported by Interior Minister Nikos Nouris, following a meeting attended by the Executive Director of the European Border and Coast Guard Agency FRONTEX, Fabrice Leggeri, and officials.

This plan, Mr. Nouris said, includes, among other things, strengthening the support that FRONTEX provides to the Republic of Cyprus by seconding additional experts in the field of return and verification of third country nationals.
