A proposal to lift the ban on entry to nightclubs, weddings, baptisms, stadiums and theatres to unvaccinated people is expected to be tabled on Tuesday, before the Council of Ministers for approval, Health Minister Michael Hadjipandela, who attended an early morning meeting with members of the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC).

According to CNA, the approval of the proposal to lift the ban on the entry of people without a history of vaccination into catering and leisure centres is considered certain, while further details will be decided at the Cabinet meeting at 10:30 today, namely whether entry will be allowed on presentation of a negative PCR laboratory test or a 24 or 48-hour Rapid antigen detection test.

Test to stay in the Civil Service as well

Meanwhile, a proposal to extend the Test to stay programme to the entire Civil Service has also been put before the Minister of Health and Science.

The proposal is expected to be approved by the Cabinet, however, no date has yet been set for the implementation of the measure.

As a competent source told CNA, the extension of the Test to Stay programme to kindergartens and pre-primary education should also be considered certain, with the implementation date to be decided in the Cabinet.

Dancing will be allowed



Also, the lifting of the ban on dancing in nightclubs is officially expected, as well as the increase of capacity in entertainment centres.

The same sources say that a special protocol will be prepared, the details of which will be discussed in the coming days, after consultation with the owners of leisure centres.

Increase in the number of persons allowed in gatherings, reduction of the teleworking rate

In addition, the increase in the number of persons allowed in gatherings, including the number of persons allowed in houses, will also be before the Cabinet today.

Specifically, the Minister of Health is expected to move a proposal for approval, which increases the number of people at a table from 8 to 12, while an increase in the number of people gathering in homes from 10 people to 20 is also expected to be approved.

According to the same source, it is expected that the Cabinet will also approve the reduction of the telecommuting rate from 50% to 25%.
