When they arrived at the beach of Heraklion, Crete, the father locked the baby in the car and went snorkeling

The news that a father locked his baby in the car to swim in the sea is surprising. It all happened on Saturday afternoon in Crete, when a 26-year-old German man decided to take his 20-month-old daughter for a swim.

However, when they arrived at the Heraklion beach the father locked the baby in the car and went to snorkel

Minutes passed and the child began to feel severe discomfort. The little girl began to cry with the lifeguard who was on the scene listening to her cry. The lifeguard arrived at the car and found the child locked inside the car. In fact, it was found that the 20-month-old girl had been in the car for about an hour, without water and without an escape route.

Before the lifeguard, a woman who happened to be passing by also rushed to the scene. As she tells Alpha, the glass was slightly open and some people managed to get it out and extricate the baby. The little angel drank a bottle of water soon after.

The 26-year-old father told police shortly afterwards, according to Alpha: "when we got to the beach, the baby was asleep. So I decided to leave it in the car with the window open. He was asleep at noon for almost two hours. I didn't want to spoil his sleep."
