Following the established policy of the Presidency of the Hellenic Republic for early study of immediate needs, but also the actions required for the prevention and more effective response to potential fires, the President of the Republic chaired a conference with all the relevant competent bodies at the Presidential Palace today.

During the meeting a detailed study of the Fire Service for the upgrade of the necessary technological infrastructure was presented and the progress achieved and the projects already implemented were recorded.

The President of the Republic instructed the Commission to meet as soon as possible and within the next 15 days to formulate, on the basis of the study, the priorities for the implementation of its recommendations.

The aim is to best prepare for the upcoming high-risk summer season, but also to reform and upgrade our country's capabilities in the fields of fire prevention, early diagnosis and suppression.
