European Union leaders should work together to effectively tackle the high cost of living of citizens, President Anastasiades said in a post during the second day of the European Council in Brussels.
In his Twitter post, which is accompanied by video footage of the arrival of the President and other leaders, Anastasiades said he was attending the eurozone meeting in the presence of both European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde and Eurogroup President Pascal Donahue.
"We will discuss the current economic situation, including high inflation and high energy prices," he noted.
"We need to work together to effectively address the rising cost of living for our citizens across the EU," he added.
