The existing and future synergies of the Ministry of Defense and the National Guard with the Digital Security Authority (DSA) were the focus of today's meeting between the Minister of Defense, Haralambos Petridis, and the Commissioner of Communications, George Michaelides.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Defence, the meeting took place at the Commissioner's offices, where the two sides generally discussed ways to further strengthen their cooperation.
The Defence Minister referred to the need to strengthen cooperation with all departments active in the field of digital security, stressing that it is now an integral part of the modern strategic and operational environment. Recent developments in Europe and the wider region regarding cybersecurity issues were also discussed.
According to the statement, Petridis also visited the National CSIRT, which is the national cyber attack response team in Cyprus, where he was informed about the actions and capabilities of the service.
