Cyprus University of Technology and National e-Health Authority collaborate to upgrade the quality of health services
On Monday, February 28, 2022, the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) and the National e-Health Authority signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to upgrade the quality of health services.
According to an announcement by the University, the purpose of the Memorandum is the cooperation between them in applied research and innovation for the continuous improvement of the quality of health services, through the use of technologies based on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and e-Health.
The Memorandum was signed by the Rector of CUT, Professor Panagiotis Zafiris and the President of the National e-Health Authority, Professor Christos N. Schizas, at a special ceremony held in the Council Hall of the Rector's Office of CUT.

They expressed their pleasure and satisfaction for the signing of the Memorandum and discussed the possibilities and prospects of cooperation between the two parties in areas of common interest, for the benefit of the Cypriot society, including the transfer of know-how in e-Health and ICT through applied research and innovation activities.
According to the Memorandum, "the ultimate objective of the actions is to focus on cutting-edge technologies to support the National e-Health Authority in achieving its objectives to support and improve the provision of e-Health services which will then be offered to the health services of Cyprus and society in general".
It is also noted that CEPAK conducts pioneering interdisciplinary research and innovation in the field of e-Health and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) with a focus on monitoring, control, security and management of critical infrastructure systems.
The Memorandum provides, among other things, for the promotion of joint projects, studies and research to solve and/or address specific challenges, participation in research projects, exchange of information, experience and data, and the provision of training by the CTEPAK to executives of the National e-Health Authority.
