Coordinated operation in the Chloraka area
Police continued its coordinated operations to police the community of Chloraka yesterday. The new operation took place from 5pm, until midnight and was attended by members of the Paphos Police Directorate, the PAPD, the PAPD Headquarters, the PAPH HQ, the PAPH YMCA, the YMCA and the Airport Security Directorate (ASA).
During the operation, a check was carried out at an apartment complex in Chloraka, for violations of the decree concerning the settlement of international protection applicants in that community. There, four persons were found to be residing in violation of the decree and after being charged in writing, they were released to be summoned later.
At the same time, a total of 153 vehicles were stopped
, of which 80 were searched, as well as 215 persons. The checks resulted in 25 traffic complaints, while two vehicles were impounded by the police.Also during the checks, members of the police made an automatic arrest of two persons, aged 32 and 37.
In the car, in which the two arrested persons were riding, burglary tools were found, as well as various power tools, which are believed to be the products of theft.
