The implementation of the goal of permanent employment of permanent employees is the collective responsibility of all those involved, PASYDY said in a statement, stressing that "the time has come to systematise and promote joint actions to regulate the issue of Fixed-term Employees (FTE) and Temporary Employees (TTE)".

The issue was discussed in the Ad Hoc Committee of PASYDY yesterday, during which the Secretary General of the Organization, Stratis Matthaiou, informed the members of the Committee about the actions that have been launched by PASYDY, with a view to the regularization of Temporary Employees.

The Civil Servants' Organisation calls on the Ministry of Finance to arrange a meeting in the presence of representatives of the Civil Service Commission and the Legal Service, in order to start an intensive and substantial dialogue with a view to a definitive solution to the issue.

It then recalls that the President of the Republic and the Minister of Finance have repeatedly stressed that they have a positive view of the issue, subject only to the observance of legality.

PASYDY stresses that the tenure of the PSCs is considered of the highest priority, since it is necessary for the uninterrupted operation of the Public Service on the one hand and for the removal of the injustice suffered by thousands of employees who are deprived of career prospects on the other.
