The weather forecast by the Meteorological Service Low pressure moves southeast and begins to affect the region on Thursday The atmosphere will be affected from time to time, sparse dust until Thursday

Today, after the dispersion of low clouds and local sparse fog, the weather will initially be mainly clear, while from midday onwards it will become mainly cloudy with medium to high clouds. Winds will be northeast to southeast, moderate, 4 Beaufort, and on the coast, moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort and occasionally very strong, 6 Beaufort. The sea will initially, generally, be a little choppy, and will gradually become choppy. Temperatures will rise to around 20 degrees inland, around 22 degrees on the north and west coasts, around 21 degrees on the rest of the coast and around 14 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tonight the weather will be mainly cloudy with medium to high clouds, which may give light isolated rain. Winds will be mainly northeast to southeast, moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort and locally in the headwinds, strong, 5 Beaufort, and in the leeward areas, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be generally rough. The temperature will drop to around 11 degrees inland, around 14 degrees on the coast and around 9 degrees in the higher mountains.

On Thursday and Friday, the weather will initially be partly cloudy, to soon become mainly cloudy with local showers and isolated thunderstorms, with the possibility of hail. Snow or sleet is expected on the higher peaks of the Troodos. The weather will gradually improve from Friday afternoon onwards.

On Saturday the weather will be partly cloudy with isolated showers expected.

The temperature will gradually decrease until Friday, to be close to or slightly below the climatic averages, while on Saturday a slight increase is expected to be close to the climatic averages. The snow depth at Troodos Square, at the time of writing, was 51 cm.
