Torrential rain and hail are occurring on the Paphos-Lemesos motorway, while torrential rain is also occurring on the Limassol-Lefkosia motorway, resulting in a slippery road surface and limited visibility. Visibility is also limited due to torrential rain at the confluence of the Nicosia-Larnaca motorway and the Nicosia-Lemesos motorway, near Alambra.
Rain is occurring in all provinces. The Police recommend particular caution to those travelling on the road network and vehicle drivers are advised to drive at a safe, low speed, maintain a safe distance from vehicles ahead, keep their vehicle's headlights on and give way to other passing drivers where necessary.
It is noted that the situation on the road network is variable due to the prevailing winter conditions. The public are advised to be informed of the road network situation before travelling, including through the Police notices as published on the information website www.cypruspolicenews.com, in the Road Network category, on the Police's social media accounts on Twitter and Facebook, as well as on the application - application - "Cyprus Police".
