Mr. Anolik expressed his appreciation for Cyprus' initiative and reaffirmed his country's support for the adoption of a regional action plan that will contribute to effectively addressing the consequences of climate change.

Regarding forest firefighting, there was an exchange of views on possible ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries and it was noted with satisfaction that joint forest firefighting exercises are continuing.

In the context of the discussion on water management, it was agreed that the two countries should further cooperate to promote more economic and efficient ways of ensuring the availability of water for agricultural use, as well as to reduce water losses from water supply and irrigation networks.
