The ceremony of sanctification of the waters at the beach of Glossa in occupied Famagusta will take place tomorrow, Thursday, January 6.
In a joint written announcement by the Holy Metropolis of Constantia and Famagusta and the group "Famagusta Our Town" it is stated that "due to the pandemic of the coronavirus, the scheduled Divine Liturgy will not be celebrated at St. George the Exorino in the walled city of Famagusta".
However, it adds "the consecration of the waters and the immersion of the Holy Cross on the beach of Glossa will normally take place at 12.30."
