"Today it's Ukraine, tomorrow it could be all of Europe."
The video of the Ukrainian parliament showing bombs from military planes falling on the Eiffel Tower and the Paris Opera House is a punch to the stomach.
To reinforce calls to the West to close the runways in Ukraine's skies to intercept Russian planes, the Rada posted a symbolic video on social media on Saturday morning. In it, it shows the moment when, while citizens are unconcerned, bombs are being dropped from military planes on the Eiffel Tower in the centre of the French capital and in the Paris Opera House area while war sirens are sounding.
"Will the famous Eiffel Tower or the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin stand up to the constant Russian bombardment? Do you think it's none of your business? Today it is Ukraine, tomorrow it could be the whole of Europe. Russia will stop at nothing.", the Ukrainian parliament writes in the caption.
"If we fall, you will fall too," the video concludes, repeating a quote from Ukrainian President Zelensky.
Would the famous Eiffel Tower in #Paris or the Brandenburg Gate in #Berlin remain standing under endless bombing of Russian troops?
Do you think that does not concern you?
