The readiness of the Republic of Cyprus to charter flights for the repatriation of Cypriot citizens from Ukraine, expressed the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works Minister, Yannis Karousos, when asked today, after the Council of Ministers meeting, whether the Ministry is ready to assist in the eventuality of a request to charter flights for the repatriation of Cypriot citizens in Ukraine.
"As was the case during the lockdown and repatriations, when the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works had to play a very important role in coordinating and organizing the repatriations, in cooperation with other Ministries, such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Health and the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, we will be ready to charter flights for the repatriation of any Cypriot citizens.
