Maliciously, with the use of flammable material was set the fire in a car at dawn, as shown by the examinations of the members of the Limassol CID and the Limassol Fire Brigade at the scene.
As reported in a previous Cyprus Times report, Police and Fire Brigade were mobilised ten minutes before 2am by a fire in a car park of an apartment building located in the centre of Limassol, on Leontiou Street, which caused extensive damage to the vehicles of two women. A 33-year-old woman and a 41-year-old woman.
Due to the fire, the Fire Service proceeded with a preventive evacuation of the apartments.
As the examinations show, the car of the 41-year-old woman was targeted by the arsonists, while the car of the 33-year-old woman was damaged as it was parked right next door.
The 41-year-old, in a statement given to the authorities, said she has no disputes with anyone and does not suspect who might have wanted to harm her.
Investigations and examinations by the Limassol CID into the case continue.
