Five people were taken to Paphos General Hospital after being injured in a car accident that occurred at 20:45 on Friday night in Paphos.
According to a spokesman for the Paphos Police Directorate, a 21-year-old man while driving his car on Apostolou Pavlou Avenue, in Kato Paphos, with a 24-year-old passenger, a resident of Paphos, at some point on the road, under circumstances under investigation entered the oncoming traffic and collided with the oncoming car driven by a 38-year-old woman from Paphos, with her 12-year-old son as a passenger.
Subsequently he collided with another vehicle driven by a 19-year-old man. All occupants of the vehicles were taken to the Accident and Emergency Department of Paphos General Hospital.
The occupants of all three vehicles sustained minor injuries to various parts of their bodies. Due to the accident there was traffic congestion on Paphos central avenue.
Paphos Traffic Police are investigating the causes of the accident in Paphos.
