The UK's grave concern about the possible use of chemical weapons by Russia in Ukraine was expressed by Foreign Secretary Alice Truss. In fact, speaking to CNN, she noted that this would be a serious mistake."
"We are very concerned about the possible use of chemical weapons. We have seen Russia using such weapons on the battlefield, but it would be a serious mistake on their part," he said.
The British minister also said her country "absolutely" believes war crimes have been committed in Ukraine and called for a "tough international response."
"We absolutely believe war crimes have been committed. We have reported the case to the international criminal court along with 37 other countries," he said, adding that a tough international response was needed.
