The community leader asks for the return of the snow removal vehicle in Prodromos - Residents blocked due to snow

Residents in Prodromos who due to the snowfall of recent days remain in their homes, as the roads are closed and inaccessible.

Speaking to the Cyprus[/B] Times, the community leader of Prodromos, Neophytos Neophytou, complains that the most serious problem that has arisen in the area in recent hours is that there is no longer a snow removal vehicle in the community.

"Although we had a snow plow, however, it is no longer at our disposal to clear the roads and it is something that we ask to return, since if there is an emergency we will not be able to move" says Mr.Neophytou.

As he notes, a few days ago an ambulance had to go to the area to transport a sick elderly woman, while at this time when there are again continuous snowfalls the roads are again closed, as the height of the snow reaches 60-70 cm.

That is why, as Mr.Neophytou says, the snow plough is considered a first necessity in order for the few residents of the area to be able to move around.

As he said the community is in constant communication with the Limassol district administration, as well as with the civil defence so that if the need arises they can help.
