The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease recorded in the last 24 hours are 6,590 , of which 11 were detected following checks at the country's entry gates. The total number of cases is 1,070,833 (daily change +0.6%), of which 50.4% are male.
Based on the confirmed cases in the last 7 days, 213 are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 2.686 are associated with an already known case.
The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 58, with a total of 20,350 deaths recorded since the start of the epidemic. 95.2% had underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.
The number of hospitalized intubated patients is 617 (60.0% male). Their median age is 63 years. 79.1% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older. Among the hospitalized intubated patients, 518 (83.95%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 99 (16.05%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,713 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
New admissions of Covid-19 patients to hospitals in the territory are 312 (daily change -8.77%). The average seven-day admission is 321 patients.
The median age of cases is 38 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of deaths is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
