Russia announced last month that its Navy will conduct exercises involving all its fleets from the Pacific to the Atlantic

More than 30 warships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet sailed from the ports of Sevastopol and Novorossiysk as part of a naval exercise, the Russian Fleet Command announced.

"More than 30 ships of the Black Sea Fleet sailed from Sevastopol and Novorossiysk as part of exercises," a statement issued by the Russian fleet said.

On Thursday an additional six Russian warships arrived for naval exercises in the Black Sea, near the Crimean peninsula that Moscow annexed from Ukraine in 2014, coming from the Mediterranean.

Russia announced last month that its navy would hold exercises involving all its fleets from the Pacific to the Atlantic in the latest show of force in its confrontation with the West over Ukraine.
