The police made 14 complaints for violation of COVID measures in the last 24 hours "Bells" of thousands of euros in brothels and cafes Fine of 8 thousand euros in a supermarket
In 14 complaints, 7 citizens and 7 managers of establishments, were made by the Police in the last 24 hours, while a total of 3,141 checks were carried out to ascertain compliance and implementation of the decrees of the Infection Control Law.
Specifically, 1,733 checks were carried out in Nicosia, which did not result in any complaints; in Limassol 328 checks were carried out, which resulted in 1 complaint from a citizen and 4 complaints from the managers of premises.
In Larnaca 368 checks were carried out with 2 complaints from citizens and one complaint from a responsible establishment, in Paphos 162 checks were carried out, which resulted in 2 complaints from citizens, in Famagusta 313 checks were carried out with 4 complaints from citizens and two establishments, in Morphou 123 checks were carried out without complaints.
Specifically, in Limassol, two fortresses were complained about not checking Safeppas at the entrance of the premises. In one case the police imposed an extrajudicial fine of 750 euros, while in the second case the authorities imposed a fine of 1500 euros.
Also in a cafeteria in Limassol the police imposed a fine of 1500 euros for not checking the Safepass of patrons at the entrance of the establishment, while in a second cafeteria in the city a fine of 750 euros was imposed due to an employee working without a Safepass.
A 1500 euro fine for not checking the Safepass of patrons at the entrance of the establishment was also issued by the authorities to a cafeteria in Larnaca.
While in the free Famagusta district
, the police issued an extrajudicial fine of 8 thousand euros to a supermarket that did not have the necessary markings for the measures to be observed in the establishment and did not count its customers. Finally, the authorities issued an out-of-court fine of 500 euros to a manager of a café in the city for not having a Safepass.
Also, the traffic police carried out 98 checks and the port police 10 checks without any complaints.
