A total fine of 2 million euros was imposed on the companies Attiki Odos S.A. (Concession Company) and ATTIKES DIADROMES S.A.E. (Operating and Maintenance Company of Attiki Odos), for the entrapment of drivers on the motorway due to the snowfall caused by the bad weather Elpis.
Specifically, a fine of EUR 1 million was imposed on each company. The decision of the Greek Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Kostas Ach. Karamanlis was based on the conclusion delivered to him by the Investigation Committee set up by the Ministry.
