A cafeteria in Limassol was "engulfed in flames at dawn.

According to information from the Cyprus Times, the fire in the cafeteria was noticed by a citizen who at around 4am while passing by noticed that a fire had broken out in the cafeteria and alerted the authorities.

Members of the Police as well as the Fire Department rushed to the spot and immediately after the fire was extinguished conducted on-site investigations. From the preliminary examinations, it was determined that the fire in the cafeteria was caused by the use of flammable material.

The fire caused extensive damage to the business, both inside the cafeteria and to its equipment with the value of the damage remaining unknown so far.

The scene was placed under guard with investigations continuing today at first light.
