Towards the solution of the puzzle of the death of the three children of the Daskalakis family in Patras, which has been occupying the nation for months, it seems that the prosecuting authorities who have taken over the mysterious case. The next few days are quite critical in the development of investigations and it is reportedly not excluded that there may even be arrests. Much will depend on the results of the forensic investigations, especially in the case of Georgina, but until then the investigations are focused, among other things, on the statements of the doctors and nurses who dealt with the children.
According to reports, the forensic committee is expected to deliver to the authorities the conclusion of the death of the first child, Malena. The picture that the detectives have been able to form is due in part to the completion of a major leg of toxicology tests on nine-year-old Georgina, who died of undetermined causes on January 29, 2022.
Experts will investigate the presence of substances such as potassium derivatives, which are difficult to detect in an organism but can cause death in a way that appears to be due to pathological causes such as heart failure. This will be followed by the final stage of the investigation which involves calls for statements from all persons involved in the case including the parents of the three girls. According to legal circles the prosecutor in charge may even prosecute with the conclusion of the coroner if it is proven that the death was suffocating and violent combined with the witness statements that indicate that someone is suspected,to have committed a crime.
