According to a daily statement, during its meeting on December 16, the PAGA adopted a resolution on the issue "Electronic School Management System" according to which "the OELMEK considers that the announcements that have been made, for many years, for the creation and implementation of a comprehensive Electronic School Management System, should finally pass from words to deeds".
"The gap that exists to date on this issue has been filled by remarkable administration systems created, on a voluntary basis, by IT colleagues who have achieved to a maximum extent a more effective administration in schools," the resolution added.
It is further stated that "we consider it self-evident that the integrated Electronic School Administration System proclaimed by the Ministry of Education, based on its budget of 27.8 million euros, will fully meet all the complex needs of schools, teachers, parents and students. We believe that such an integrated Electronic School Management System should be the result of a dialogue with the direct involvement of stakeholders, in which the multifaceted knowledge and experience of our colleagues who have developed school management systems should be utilized.

Call to the Ministry of Education to expedite procedures for the completion of the unified Electronic School Management System and also to immediately engage in an intensive dialogue with all stakeholders, in order to ensure that the new system will meet all the needs of education and our schools, that the design is based on solid foundations and that it will be efficient, productive and not dysfunctional, addresses the Pancyprian Conference of General Representatives of OELMEK (PESG).
